Striding Edge.Net walk 15th October 2008

Route- O.D.G -  Browney gill - Crinkle Crags - Bowfell - Climbers traverse - O.D.G

I had the pleasure of taking part in the second annual Striding Edge.Net walk. Here we are setting off to Stool End farm. Casper looks to have found something more interesting to look at.  (picture by Martin Roberts)

Low lying cloud around the Langdales.

On the steep climb up the Browney gill path.

Looking down the valley.

Nearing the top now.

The weather took a turn for the worse and the climb up to the Crinkles was done in mist and rain. Here Martin and Sean consult the map.

Here we are still cheerful despite the weather. (picture by Martin Roberts)

No views at all from Bowfell so we set of for the climbers traverse.

Casper the fell dog.

Further down now.

The water spout at the bottom of Cambridge crag. It really does taste good.

The weather has brightened up and we started to get some views. this looking along Langstrath to the north.
